Blog Commenting

This is a very simple tactic but can be effective you do just right. Many bloggers does not utilize the power of blog commenting because they  might not know the right technique to do this tactic.

Step #1: Finding Blogs to Comment
Do a google search for related blogs with your main topic. Here's an example of a  keyword phrase that you can use:

your market + blogs

Another way to find related blogs is to use Google Alerts. Use your keywords on Google alert. Google will notice you every time they found a new post/article on  the hottest topic from your industry.

Step #2: Make Sure You Drop Comments On High Traffic Blogs
Now, you're going to steal visitors from other blog in a legal way, and if you drop a comment on a do-follow blog, you'll also get a  backlink. Install the Alexa Toolbar to check  the rank of the blog, and Google Toolbar to check the PR. Look for blog post with high page rank (at least 2) and low  alexa rank. This will make sure that many people are actually reading that  post.

Step #3: Leave a useful comment
Next thing you need to do is to leave a useful comment on that post. Do  NOT drop a generic comment like "Thank You" or "Great Post" as it will not attract other readers to click your link.Not just a comment saying  "great post" or "thanks for the information". Use your keyword as your name when you drop a comment, and this is a tactic to get more  backlink unless you drop a comment on a no-follow blog.

Step #4: Promoting the Post
Ping the blog URL where you drop your comment so the search engines will notice your backlink, then bookmark it to many social bookmarking  sites using your favorite tool.
